Built-ins
If you have spent anytime around me you’ll know that I work from 5am-2pm at my day job and run the shop with the help of Bernie most afternoons. But you may not know my wife and I have a love of old houses. Out latest home we purchased is a 1930 Tudor in Wenatchee.
Old homes are notorious for having very small closets. So we decided to have built-ins for storage in the primary bedroom. Here is the journey of those.
Picking up the plywood from Lowe’s
Creating the boxes and the footings
Cutting the poplar down to a more manageable length
flattening the face
Getting the tops to the proper thickness
Ripping the final edge. Stock is prepared
Marking for the biscuits.
