Master the Grain: The 3-Day End-Grain Cutting Board Experience! 🪵✨

Ready to level up your kitchen game? Join us for an intensive, hands-on 3 day class where you’ll transform raw, rugged lumber into a stunning, professional-grade end-grain cutting board. Not only are these boards the "heirlooms of the kitchen," but they are also incredibly kind to your knives and a total showstopper on any countertop.

Here is the game plan for our three-day woodworking sprint:

Day 1: The Rough & Tumble 🪚
We’re starting from scratch! You’ll grab some beautiful rough-sawn stock and learn the art of milling. We’ll joint and plane our wood until it’s perfectly square and ready for action. Once our strips are looking sharp, we’ll perform our first big glue-up. It’s messy, it’s fun, and it’s the foundation of everything to come!

Day 2: Slice, Flip, & Stick It 🔄
Today is where the magic happens. We’ll clean up yesterday’s squeeze-out and plane our panels flat. Then comes the "End-Grain Twist"—we’ll cross-cut our boards into strips, flip them 90 degrees to reveal that gorgeous grain pattern, and hit the second glue-up. This is where your unique design truly starts to pop!

Day 3: The Grand Finale 💎
It’s the home stretch! We’ll spend the final day cleaning up our boards, sanding through the grits until they’re buttery smooth, and trimming them to their final, perfect size. To top it off, we’ll route the edges for a pro feel and "flood" the wood with food-safe oil. Watching that grain come to life under the finish is the most satisfying feeling in the world!

What You'll Learn:

Proper use of cutting tools (band saw, scroll saw, jig saw)

Sanding and finishing techniques

Minimum class size of 3 students is required to host class.

Outcome: Walk away with a completed ready to use end grain cutting board.

Dimensions: Most builds result in about 20" x 15".
